Jona's Journey started before she turned 2 years old. Her life had just barely begun. Jona is now a funny, caring, lovely little girl. She will be 9 years old in December. She is a big sister to her favorite little sister, Megan. She is a mommy to her puppy, Princess. Jona is also an amazing inspiration to her parents, Jeff and Nichole.
"Jona-Bear" brings smiles to all those who meet her. She has a laugh that makes everyone giggle. Jona touches the hearts of all around her. She loves her doctors like they are her family...really after all this time I guess we can consider them to be part of our family.
We hope that this website will bring hope and information to all of you dealing with this disease. It is so important to us to also bring awareness to everyone about Juvenile Dermatomyositis. As Jona put it in our last hospital stay...she just wants a shot to make this disease go away. Unfortunately, that is not available to her right now. However, we hope that through this website you will not only get educated about this battle she faces daily, but that you will add her and her JDM friends to your prayers each night.
